The Forest II 12×50 model is designed for people who need high magnification to observe objects from a long distance. The 12x magnification is still so small that you can easily use these binoculars to make stable observations without using a tripod. Due to the relatively small diameter of the exit pupil, this model is better suited for daytime rather than night observations.
In the entire Delta Optical Forest II series, the optical system of the binoculars consists of 8 elements in 6 groups, and in the construction we used high-quality roof prisms made of BaK4 glass with phase corrected, whose reflecting surfaces are covered with silver, which ensures an extremely sharp and bright image. In addition, in the Forest II models, all active optical surfaces of the lenses are covered with high-quality multilayer antireflection coatings of the FMC type. Thanks to them, the binoculars are characterized by high light transmission and neutral colors of the image. Well-darkened inside of the tubes prevent unwanted reflections and “ghosts” from appearing in the image.
All the Forest II series binoculars feature a smoothly moving central focusing knob and individual diopter adjustment in the right eyepiece. The rubber, adjustable twist-up eyecups slide out, allowing the eyepieces to be comfortably adjusted to the individual needs of the observer. The Forest II series binoculars will withstand even the toughest weather conditions. Their sealed housing allows for free use in wet terrain, and even in the rain. Forest II binoculars can withstand immersion in water for 5 minutes, up to a depth of 1 m, and the filling of the structure with nitrogen prevents the optics from fogging inside the housing.
