The Trail 2 LRF XP50 thermal imaging sight is based on a very sensitive NETD & lt; 40mk sensor, which allows to maintain an ideal temperature contrast even in unfavorable conditions, equipped with a light-sensitive lens with a focal length of 50mm and a laser rangefinder. The device allows you to detect an object the size of a boar from a distance of 1800 meters, at a distance of 400 to 500 meters, it is possible to recognize the target without error (depending on the shooter’s experience). The basic magnification of the viewfinder is 2x. With a resolution of 640×480 pixels and a display resolution of 1024×768 AMOLED, it is possible to effectively use the digital zoom, the maximum available magnification is 16x.
The image is processed by modern low-noise electronics, and the noise reduction is facilitated by a heat sink installed on the body of the thermal imager to remove heat from the electronic circuits. The image can be processed in a way that is convenient for the user – the brightness and contrast of the image are adjusted, the display can take place in the white hot and black hot modes.
Digital zoom can be adjusted smoothly or step by step, in the cycle 1x-2x-4x-8x.
The viewfinder has an easy-to-use image recorder that allows you to save photos and video files. The crosshair is digitally plotted over the image. We can choose from 10 types of electronic reticles that can be displayed in different colors. The position of the aiming point can be saved in 5 different ballistic profiles for 10 different distances.
The built-in laser rangefinder is located on the left side of the body. The rangefinder determines the distance up to 1000 meters with an accuracy of 1 meter. The sight has a built-in gyroscope and accelerometer, these elements are used to detect the tilt of the weapon as well as to detect the rest position in which it is possible to automatically turn off the device.
Trail 2 LRF XP50 has a built-in WiFi module which enables image transfer and remote control of the device. Control and preview are carried out thanks to the Polish-language StreamVision application available for Android and iOS mobile platforms. This application also allows you to transmit live broadcasts to Youtube.
Compared to its predecessor, the sight’s body is made of magnesium, which significantly improves resistance to recoil and weather conditions. In addition, such a housing design allows for even better heat dissipation from the device.
Trail 2 LRF XP50 can be powered from a standard 5V powerbank with a USB port, it can also be charged with ordinary chargers with USB output. Contrary to the previous models, the primary power source for the viewfinder is a dedicated, quick-detachable 6.4 Ah battery, mounted in a special slot on the side of the housing. The battery allows for 8 hours of continuous operation, and if that was not enough, you can always buy additional batteries. Reinforced IPS-7 batteries with a capacity of 6400mAh, as well as with twice the capacity (IPS-14 type) are available for sale. The sight is delivered without assembly, it is optionally equipped with various types of assemblies. Pulsar Trail 2 LRF XP50 is one of the best currently available thermal imaging sights, thanks to the high resolution of the sensor and the wide possibilities of the lens, the XP50 model allows you to obtain the image with the highest resolution available.
Mounting is not included in the kit.
